November and December are Good Neighbor Network’s busiest and most pivotal times for raising funds to support our mission. At the heart of Good Neighbors Network lies our resolute commitment to uplifting local families and making a substantial, positive impact.
Together, we've achieved so much already in 2023, and we can't wait to do even more during the upcoming season of giving. Through a generous challenge match, between now and December 31 three donors will match gifts $1 for $1, up to $10,000. Please donate today.
In March 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, close friends Yeulanda Degala and Rachael Hooker united to launch the Facebook page "Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Arlington Heights." This digital refuge provided comfort and support to numerous community members in need, establishing a reassuring and secure environment.
Fueled by an unwavering determination to create lasting change, Yeulanda embarked on the journey to secure nonprofit status in 2021. Good Neighbors Network is now an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to serving local school districts, families, and collaborating with other local nonprofits.
At the heart of Good Neighbors Network lies our resolute commitment to uplifting local families and making a substantial, positive impact.
The purpose of Good Neighbors Network is to provide assistance to under-resourced community members. We connect neighbors with helpers and inspire and empower all community members to participate in initiatives to support those in need.
YEAR ROUND SUPPORT
Making a meaningful difference involves addressing diverse needs and offering support to those who require it.
Neighbors Care Closets within local schools: a resource designed to support students discreetly and compassionately. These closets are thoughtfully stocked with essential items such as food, snacks, and hygiene products. The intention behind these closets is to make assistance easily accessible for students, without any associated stigma. It's about creating a safe and caring environment where students can access the help they need.
